Gaming giant Ubisoft has announced the opening of its new production studio in the Philippines, and is actively hiring up to 50 people for its first year, including artists, programmers, designers, and project managers. An outgrowth of the French publisher’s operation in Singapore, Ubisoft Philippines is the 30th studio opened by Ubisoft internationally. Founding team member from Singapore will move in to train Ubisoft Philippines’ recruit, and the Philippine studio will be managed by Chip Go from the Singapore team as it looks into collaborating with other studios to develop AAA console games. Located in De La Salle University Sta. Rosa campus in Laguna, the new studio is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2016.
