Toyota Motor Philippines ended 2017 on a high note by unveiling the refreshed Yaris during its annual Christmas luncheon for the media.
The new Yaris gets a heavily revised front: sleek sweptback headlights, more angular grille, more rounded front bumper, reshaped fog light housings, and a gaping radiator air intake.
Powering the subcompact hatchback is either a 1.3-liter (98hp and 123Nm) or a 1.5-liter (106hp and 140Nm) gasoline engine. The 1.3-liter variant can be had with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.5-liter is mated to an automatic gearbox.
The top-spec 1.5S features halogen headlights daytime running lights, chrome door handles, six speakers, a push start button, an eco-drive mode, and a sport drive mode. It also comes with a Toyota Vehicle Security System (TVSS) with alarm and immobilizer as well as smart entry with speed-sensing door lock. A 7-inch infotainment system and seven airbags are available across all variants.
The new Yaris is available in seven colors: Freedom White, Attitude Black, Red Mica Metallic, Orange Metallic, Thermalyte, Gray Metallic, and Citrus Mica Metallic.
