Microsoft unveils cool new SpongeBob SquarePants Xbox Series X

If you’ve already seen Xbox’s new Spongebob Squarepants Xbox Series X console, chances are, you’re not going to look at its plain black (or white) gaming systems the same way again.

The quirky console, which Microsoft unveiled on October 11, was developed in celebration of the recent release of Nickelodeon’s Smash Bros.-like video game All-Star Brawl.

The collaboration seems inevitable, given that the world’s most lovable sponge has an edgy shape that, although not the same, is at least similar to the Series X console. Adding more fun factor is the controller that also comes in SpongeBob yellow and his bulbous eyes printed on the right side.

Apart from SpongeBob, Microsoft released another version of the console dressed up as Leonardo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

But the thing is, Microsoft won’t be putting these consoles up for sale. Instead, fans would have to join an online raffle where they would have to retweet the Xbox sweeptakes tweet below. The contest runs from 7 a.m. PT on October 11 until 8 p.m. PT on October 24. Only residents aged 18 years old and above of any Xbox Live supported region are qualified to join.

Asidefrom SpongeBob and Leonardo, All Star Brawl features OG Nick characters from classic shows like Ren & Stimpy, Hey Arnold, Rugrats, among others. The game is now available for play on the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
