Through the Alagang Phoenix program, Phoenix Publishing House Inc. partners with Ricoh Philippines to empower learning and development in the country.
Phoenix established Alagang Phoenix in line with its commitment to improve the quality of education in the nation. The program is the company’s CSR arm, which conducts training and workshops for the academe. Moreover, Alagang Phoenix also promotes development and learning initiatives with the latest trends in the global education system.
On the other hand, tech and imaging company Ricoh PH aims to materialize a sustainable society. Driven by sustainability, Ricoh pursues its goals through a balance of 3Ps – Prosperity (economic activities), People, and Planet.
The partnership between Ricoh and Phoenix through Alagang Phoenix will usher in the development of schools in several communities in the country.
“We have found through the Alagang Phoenix initiatives that we share common goals and aspirations – the betterment of society through the activities of the businesses that we run,” said Eric Sulit, president and CEO of Ricoh PH. “It is also for this reason that this partnership is very close to my heart. And I hope that with this joint program we may make some impact on our youth and on our country.”
Recently, Ricoh donated multifunction printers and projectors to Phoenix for the recipient schools. Furthermore, Phoenix’s president Lynda R. Sibal, and executive vice president Penny Sibal-Balbin led the turnover ceremony.
“We are truly grateful to Ricoh Philippines for this partnership. These devices will be of great value to the recipients and will help modernize the schools’ systems,” said Sibal.
Also present at the ceremony were representatives from the recipient schools.
