Red Redemption 2, arguably 2018’s best video game, may just see light on the PC.
This comes after Red Dead Redemption 2 PC settings supposedly surfaced on the game’s Companion App. This was first noted by an eagle-eyed fan by the name of ‘rollschuh2282’ on GTAforums. This was later picked up by DSOGaming.
Red Dead Redemption 2 follows Arthur Morgan, a disillusioned outlaw, running from the demise of the Wild West.
According to these reports, these settings strongly indicate that a PC version of the popular game may be underway. There is a reference to DirectX Feature Set 12_1, denoting support for DX12 for Red Redemption 2. Moreover, there is an “ultra” detail level preset for graphics, which will aid in depicting the vast tracts of land as shown in the game’s console version. Some of the graphic options also became sliders.
Despite all of this, fans would be better off awaiting the official announcement from the game’s developers, Rockstar Studios.
Red Dead Redemption 2 was first released on October 26, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It earned $725 million during its opening weekend, breaking several records. It is the third entry in Rockstar Studios’ Red Dead series.
