realme launches an uber-cool GT Neo2 Dragon Ball Z Limited Edition smartphone

Talk about awesome! realme has just released an exclusive GT Neo2 5G smartphone designed after Akira Toriyama’s hit manga series Dragon Ball Z.

Developed in collaboration with Toei Animation, realme amped up the GT Neo2 with a cover replicating the iconic Keikogi (martial arts uniform) of Goku, the series’ protagonist.

It features a matte finish embossed with a diagonal stripes pattern and a huge print of Goku’s upper uniform on top. On the right corner, beside the camera, is the superhero’s Kanji symbol.

Making this device a true must-have for Dragon Ball Z fans is its Android 11-based realme UI 2.0 OS, which is customized with a wallpaper of Goku plus icons inspired by the anime. This, in addition to the themed box that also contains stickers and specialty stickers.

Other than that, the Dragon Ball Z Limited Edition is the same as the GT Neo2 realme announced in September.

It sports a 6.6-inch full HD+ (2400 × 1080) AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 600Hz touch sampling rate, and support for HDR10+ content. It also has a peak brightness of 1,300 nits and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The front also features a 16MP punch-hole camera, while the back houses a triple camera system comprising a 64MP Sony IMX682 sensor supported by 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro shooters.

All these are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor backed by Adreno 650 graphics, plus 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery that juices up with 65W fast charging.

The realme GT Neo2 5G Dragon Ball Z Limited Edition is by far only available in China with a price tag of ¥2,999 or around P24,100.
