Magnetic wireless charging is no longer exclusive to Apple users. realme has announced it will launch the “realme Flash,” the world’s first Android phone with magnetic wireless charging technology.
This new tech, called the “MagDart,” is a revamped version of iPhone 12’s MagSafe wireless charging feature—if we’re talking about speed. First reported by GSMArena, the MagDart is the fastest magnetic charger in the world so far, with a charging speed that exceeds 15W.
It is bulkier than the MagSafe charger, though, and will be equipped with an active cooling fan.
Meanwhile, the realme Flash smartphone will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 and at least one model will have 256GB storage and 12GB RAM. According to Tech Insider, the device will feature a punch-hole display with curved edges and a triple camera array at the back. On the software front, it will run Android 11 with realme UI 2.0 layered on top.
realme hasn’t announced the phone’s official launch date yet, but reports say that the realme Flash will likely be unveiled next week.
