PayMaya has launched the all-new PayMaya Negosyo App to help small businesses and entrepreneurs transition to online and contactless operations in just one to two days time. This new mobile payment innovation allows merchants to easily and quickly accept QR and online payments for their products and services.
The PayMaya Negosyo app is available to download for free on Android devices. It enables businesses to easily accept QR and other forms of digital payments using their smartphones. This new service can be very useful for micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) amid the imposed quarantine and social distancing measures in the country.
Through the app, merchants can accept payments from the following: PayMaya users via PayMaya QR; Send Money function from upgraded PayMaya users; and bank transfer payments from any InstaPay-participating bank and e-wallet in the Philippines. They can also share their QR code on their social media pages and chat apps for faster transactions.
Interested merchants can sign up through the app using their mobile number. They also need to upload one valid government ID and a video selfie for liveliness check. After that, users need only to wait 24 to 48 hours for their application to be reviewed and approved.
“As more consumers begin to prefer shopping online and paying using contactless methods, PayMaya Negosyo will give our MSMEs the easiest and fastest way to accept digital payments from across a variety of sources–all they need now is their smartphone and a valid ID,” said Shailesh Baidwan, President of PayMaya.
Merchants can then transfer the money in their PayMaya Negosyo wallets to their respective bank accounts via InstaPay. The app allows a monthly limit of up to P250,000 per user.
