OPPO to launch more Qualcomm-powered 5G phones in 2020

OPPO unveiled its upcoming plans for the first quarter of 2020 at the annual Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit in Hawaii.

The company announced that it’s eyeing to launch a flagship 5G smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform. In addition, the tech giant will launch the Reno3 Pro this December, equipped with Snapdragon 765G integrated with 5G.

“OPPO plans to roll out more 5G products in the future, driving the large-scale adoption of 5G around the world,” said Alen Wu, OPPO Vice President and President of Global Sales.

Last May, the smartphone maker launched the Reno 5G in Switzerland, making it the first commercial 5G phone in Europe. Eventually, it rolled out in Australia, U.K., and Italy.

Together with Qualcomm Technologies, OPPO launched its flagship Find X, integrating the Snapdragon 845 chip. The device provided users with game-changing experiences thanks to its groundbreaking design, innovative entertainment, and connection capabilities. Also included in this portfolio of devices are the Reno 10x Zoom and the Reno Ace.
