Ford Ranger Raptor 2018

The Ford Ranger Raptor is here!

To launch its new, high-performance Ranger Raptor pickup truck, Ford Philippines had an off-road dirt track specially designed in Arca South, Taguig. Minutes before the event started, the rain began to pour. But the weather didn’t dampen the excitement. In fact, it only made the launch ‘stage’ an even better playground for the super truck to show its prowess. The course may be tough, but the Raptor was a lot tougher—leaping and flying around the track like it was nothing.

The Ranger Raptor, designed by the Ford Performance team for the true enthusiast off-roader, is powered by a new 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine (210hp and 500Nm!) that’s mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

This true-blue super truck is equipped with off-road-ready Fox Position Sensitive Damping (PSD) shock absorbers. To withstand high-impact off-road events, the Ranger Raptor’s frame consists of various grades of high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel. All-terrain BF Goodrich 285/70 17-inch tires have been specially developed for this truck.

The Ranger Raptor features a Terrain Management System with different modes, including Baja Mode, which is inspired by Mexico’s famous Baja Desert Rally. The truck also features Ford’s SYNC 3, satellite navigation system, hill start assist, hill descent control, electronic stability control system, trailer sway control, and load adaptive control.

The Ford Ranger Raptor is available at an introductory price of P1,898,000.
