JBL brings first Google Assistant-powered speakers to the Philippines

JBL marked two milestones last September as the brand became the first ever to hold a media launch inside the highly exclusive and coveted Presidential Suite of the Manila Hotel, which is usually reserved for foreign dignitaries and royalties visiting the country. There, JBL introduced its new Link series speakers and Everest headphones, and became the first company to officially launch Google Assistant-powered speakers in the Philippines.

The JBL Link is a series of hands-free voice-activated speakers with built-in Google Assistant, so users can stream music, manage everyday tasks, listen to the latest news, ask random questions, and control other smart home devices with ease. Merging JBL’s signature sound with Google’s voice assistant technology, JBL Link brings powerful listening experience and the convenience of having a conversational virtual assistant. It also provides high-definition music streaming, elevated sound, and endless entertainment from apps all thanks to Chromecast.

Designed for users to enjoy uninterrupted music anywhere you go, the Link 10 (P9,999) and Link 20 (P12,999) speakers are made highly portable with IPX7 waterproof rating and comes with 5 and 10 hours of playing time, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Link 300 and Link 500 are both made to be enjoyed as a reliable music source at home, as well as a link to hook up other smart home appliances using the Google Home app. The Link 300 (P14,999) and Link 500 (P23,999), along with other JBL speakers, can all be connected through any home Wi-Fi network for a multi-room speaker setup all around the house.

Further amplifying its product lineup, JBL also introduced the new Everest lineup of smart headphones. Like the Link series, the Everest line also has Google Assistant built-in so you can easily talk to Google even when you’re mobile.

The in-ear Everest Elite 110GA (P4,990), on-ear Everest 310GA P8,999), and over-ear Everest 710GA (P9,999) give users convenient control over the connected device’s (usually your smartphone) notifications, music, calls, messages, and other functions for up to 8 hours, 10 hours, and 25 hours, respectively. This revamped Everest lineup comes with a touch-sensitive ear cup and earbud, allowing one-tap access to Google Assistant.

The new JBL Link and Everest series will be initially available at selected JBL/Harman Kardon kiosks and showrooms, as well as in select branches of Abenson, Ansons, A Refinery, Automatic, Classic Hifi, Egg Head Audio Hub, Listen Up, PCX, Raphas Gear, Robinsons Appliance, Rustan’s, Soundroom, The Landmark, The Listening Room, and Urban Gadgets nationwide.
