Netflix reveals title, teaser for Korean adaptation of ‘Money Heist’


Ready for another heist?

Netflix revealed today, January 18, that the Korean adaptation of hit series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) will be called Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.

The upcoming series narrates a genius strategist and his talented crew—composed of top-class thieves—attempting to pull off an unprecedented heist in the Korean Peninsula. 

A teaser has also been released, showing the Professor in front of a wall filled with unique masks, including traditional Korean and the iconic Salvador Dali mask from the original Spanish series. 

The Korean Original Series will feature an exciting cast from Korea’s top talents including Yoo Ji-tae (The Swindlers, Money, Svaha: The Sixth Finger) as ‘the Professor,’ and Kim Yunjin (Seven Days, Ode to My Father, Lost, Mistresses) as Seon Woojin, an inspector at Task Force Team.

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area will premiere on Netflix this 2022.
