Netflix Games service is now available on iPhone, iPad

In case you still didn’t know, Netflix’s gaming feature has arrived on iOS and iPadOS devices on Thursday, November 11. The rollout comes after a week the streaming giant dropped the feature on Android devices on November 4.

Same as in Android, Netflix subscribers can access the games on iPhone and iPad as an add-on in their membership, without fees, ads, or in-app purchases.

It is available as a new “Games” row in the Netflix app that currently offers the following titles:

  • Stranger Things: 1984
  • Stranger Things 3: The Game
  • Shooting Hoops
  • Card Blast
  • Teeter Up

After clicking on a title, users will be redirected to the App Store where you would have to download the game.

Some of the games can be played both online and offline by every profile on the same account, except the one for kids.

Netflix first announced its plans to expand to gaming during its Q2 2021 earnings interview last July.

The company’s executives said that whlie mobile devices will be the primary focus, all the devices that Netflix already supports are candidates for its games, including PlayStation, Xbox, desktop computers, and connected TVs.

There’s no word yet on the feature’s release on these devices, but this year’s launch is a pretty good sign that Netflix subscribers might not have to wait too long.
