The Beard is back! NBA superstar James Harden returned to Manila for adidas’ Free To Harden Freestyle Hub, held last June 26 at the SMX Convention Center. During the event, Harden showed his fans how–just like him–they are free to play how they play, free to step back, and Free To Harden.
Harden got to show another side of him through various games such as Two Truths, One Lie and the Tagalog Challenge. A few lucky fans got to interact and impress the seven-time NBA All-Star through basketball challenges. Joining the fans are local adidas basketball Creators like Kobe Paras, Jjay Alejandro, and Rey Nambatac, among others.
The Free To Harden Freestyle Hub is just part of the series of events that Harden and adidas prepared for his stay here in the Philippines. Upon his arrival in the country on June 25, Harden kicked off his trip by visiting the University of the Philippines where adidas refurbished the College of Human Kinetics basketball court. Members of the National Wheelchair Basketball Team and the UP Women’s Basketball Team welcomed Harden with a short exhibition game.
Harden has a jam-packed second day in the Philippines. Before the Free To Harden Freestyle Hub, Harden met with fans at the adidas store in Two Parkade, BGC. The Houston Rockers guard also met with the press to discuss the recently concluded NBA season as well as his partnership with adidas.
Before coming here, the 2018 NBA Most Valuable Player visited China as part of his adidas Asia Summer Tour. James Harden flies out of Manila on June 27, concluding his short but eventful three-day trip in the country.
