Marvel drops new Eternals trailer showing off superpowers, radical MCU villain

As Marvel fans continue to wonder why the Eternals never helped the Avengers crush Thanos, Marvel has dropped a new trailer of the upcoming film, which shows why the long wait could be worth it after all.

Released by Marvel on Thursday, Aug. 19, the new Eternals trailer gives fans their first glimpse of the Eternals’ superpowers, as well as the Deviants they’ve been struggling to defeat.

It features non-stop action as it shows the relationship between the godlike beings and their powers at work. As IGN notes, we see Ikaris (Richard Madden) firing cosmic energy from his eyes, Thena (Angelina Jolie) forging weapons, and Makkari (Lauren Ridloff) running at super-speed.

The gripping clip also introduces Kro, the Deviant leader who had a relationship with Thena, as well as Celestial, the cosmic gods that (in the comics) created both the Eternals and the Deviants.

What’s more, Kit Harrington’s Dane Whitman asked Gemma Chan’s Cersei the question bumming out many fans for the longest time: Why did the Eternals never intervened in previous MCU wars? Cersei answered, “We were instructed not to interfere in any human conflicts unless Deviants were involved.”

Now the people or beings behind that deal are what we should all look out for in the film. Eternals will premiere exclusively in foreign theaters on November 5. Watch the trailer below.
