Two years since his cameo in Avengers: Endgame, Loki—the trickster God of Asgard—is back to enchant us in his own upcoming series. To get you hyped up, Marvel released another trailer that would give you the lowdown on what to expect from the show. The action-packed clip shows Marvel mainstay Tom Hiddleston in the title role and his multidimensional quest as he steps out from the shadow of his brother, Thor.
The series takes off from Avengers: Endgame, where an alternate version of Loki vanishes with the Tesseract. Turns out, this made him break the proper flow of time. Loki is later apprehended by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), the agency overseeing the timeline of the multiverse. Together with TVA official Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson), the God of Mischief sets on a mission to fix the timeline using his “unique Loki perspective.”
Apart from the charmingly devilish Mobius, it looks like the series will introduce new characters such as Judge Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), a Skrull prisoner (or operative), and some “variants” of Loki, with one as a president. His time-traveling adventures would involve visiting a wide range of locations as far as alien worlds.
Loki is directed by Kate Herron and written by Michael Waldron. The six-episode season will start airing on June 11 on Disney+.
