LG unveils world’s first 105” Curved Super UHD TV

Why go to a movie theater when you can now have the country’s largest UHD TV in the comforts of your own living room? LG Electronics Philippines recently launched its 105-inch Curved Super Ultra HD TV (model name 105UC9) that comes with a load of visual pleasure in its 11 million pixel-resolution display (5120 x 2160)—five times that of a Full HD TV. Adding to the viewing euphoria is its CinemaScope 21:9 aspect ratio. Its picture quality is backed by LG’s True 4K Engine Pro, which eliminates visual errors and upscales low-resolution content. The IPS 4K Panel feature, on the other hand, gives the contrast punch and consistency producing vivid, lifelike colors. The 105UC9’s audio will certainly not be outdone, with the Harman Kardon 7.2-channel, 150W speakers to complete the immersive audio-video experience. Other features include Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) 3D technology, K 3D+ feature, and LG’s webOS. “Last December, we launched the country’s largest 98-inch ULTRA HD TV. This summer, we take it a notch higher and reinforce that it’s all possible when you bring today’s most advanced TV technologies together. The vision behind the 105UC9 was to bring the movie theater into the living room, providing the optimal home entertainment experience for our consumers,” LG Philippines Home Entertainment vice president Hoony Bae said.
