LG, Netflix give back to the community this Christmas

LG Philippines gets into the spirit of giving by teaming up with Getting into the spirit of giving, LG Philippines teams up with streaming giant Netflix to give back to the community.

Together, the two companies premiered Netflix’s holiday film headliner Klaus. The trailer for the destined Christmas classic, along with behind the scenes footage, were all screened on LG’s award-winning OLED TVs. Customers who purchase one of these TVs will enjoy an accompanying gift of six months of free Netflix subscription.

The 2D animated Netflix movie stars award-winning actor J.K. Simmons, who lends his voice to the titular Klaus, a reclusive carpenter whom Jesper (Jason Schwartzman) discovers living alone in a cabin where he makes his own handmade toys.

‘Tis the season for giving

LG also invited the Animation Council of the Philippines, Inc. (ACPI) to share their thoughts on the use of 2D animation in Klaus, how LG OLED TVs are the best platform to view it on, as well as to discuss the state of the local animation industry as a whole. As an early Christmas present, LG donated TVs to the film institution.

LG also announced its #ShareTheGoodLifewithLG campaign, wherein a portion of each sale of an LG product will go to Shelter of Hope,which houses cancer-afflicted childrean from faraway provinces while they receive treatment in Manila. Moreover, LG has committed to donate home entertainment and home appliances worth more than P1 million. Shelter of Hope is currently building a new home for their resident children who are cancer patients. During the event, LG, Netflix, and members of the media also brought gifts and toys to give to the children.

Want to have a bigger and better Christmas with LG? Aside from aforementioned proceeds going to Shelter of Hope, those who buy an LG OLED or NanoCell TV until December 15 will receive a raffle ticket. The raffle gives customers a chance to win one out of 10 LG TVs or soundbars. One lucky customer will also stand the chance to take home a 65-inch OLED TV. The raffle draw will be on December 16.
