Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently turned over 25 units of brand new Isuzu Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) to MetroExpress Connect Inc. (MCI). This effort shows the company’s continued support for the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP), which aims to bring safer, more efficient, more convenient, and more environmentally sustainable transport system to Filipinos.
Already its third batch, Isuzu’s newly turned-over PUVs will ply the routes of Las Piñas to Daang Hari; Kawit, Cavite to PITX; Tanza, Cavite to PITX; and General Trias to Daang Hari.
Started as shuttle services group, MCI had an initial fleet of no more than 20 shuttles that serviced private subdivisions, connecting them to commercial developments and city centers. Later on, MCI acquired bigger and bolder projects, widening their operation. The decision to use Isuzu PUVs as their transportation hub allows MCI to guarantee its commuters a safe and reliable transportation.
The modernized Isuzu PUVs use the Isuzu QKR77 platform. Meanwhile, the PUV body is designed and manufactured by Almazora Motors Corp. The vehicles come equipped with the Euro IV-compliant 4JH1-TC diesel engine. This guarantees quality and reliable transportation, connecting passengers and communities to their destinations the easy way.
