Huawei has introduced a new smartwatch to its line of wearables. Departing from the company’s smartwatches and bands with circular or slim displays, the new Huawei Watch Fit features a big rectangular screen, and packs a long 10-day battery life.
The watch has a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with slightly curved edges on the side—think a skinnier Apple Watch. Its durable polymer fiber body goes with a silicon watch strap available in three colors: Graphite Black, Sakura Pink, and Mint Green.
Running on Huawei’s Lite OS, the smartwatch features customizable faces, training videos, a built-in GPS sensor, SpO2 meter, heart rate sensor, and many workout modes. It also monitors sleep and menstruation cycles, shows notifications, controls music, and provides stress relief exercises. It’s also water-resistant to 5ATM, which means it can be used in the pool.
According to Huawei, the Watch Fit can last up to 10 days in typical use and seven days with heavy use. Having GPS on will drain the battery in 12 hours.
The Huawei Watch Fit is initially available in the United Arab Emirates for 399AED (~P5,300). Availability in the Philippines has yet to be announced.
