Misplacing stuff is common, even when you’re just staying at home. How many minutes have you spent trying to look for a TV remote or your phone? And when you’ve got something as small as AirPods, there’s a high chance of you misplacing them if you’re not careful.
But fret not. You can track down a missing AirPod or two with the Find My app (as long as you’re within Bluetooth range).
How to find individual AirPods with the Find My app
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Select the Devices tab
- Choose your AirPods
- Tap Play Sound (if your device is connected via Bluetooth)
If your AirPods are separated from each other, you’ll see only one location at a time on the map. Also, if your AirPods are offline, you can’t play a sound to find it. The map will only show you where they were last connected. But if they do go back online, you’ll get a notification.
In case all hope is lost and you really can’t find your device, get the serial number (found on the lid) and contact Apple Support for a replacement.
