How to be a foodie on TikTok

It’s no secret that Filipinos love to cook and eat and that we love to share food photos on social media. TikTok is becoming one of the most accessible platforms to share one’s aptitude for good eats.

Be a master foodie with these five ideas that will surely leave your viewers’ mouths watering:

Street food lover

This is the ultimate comfort food whenever we feel gloomy, hungry, or just plain broke. Go street food hopping with your friends and create videos showing your exquisite dining experience.

Burger Party

A beautiful burger is worthy of attention. Although your followers won’t be able to smell and taste the sandwich on video, you can capture how appetizing it is. Rule of thumb for food videos: you can never go wrong with an appetizing subject.

Pasta, per favore

Who can say no to pasta? Boost that creamy bowl of penne with some music in the background to make it more irresistible.

Who’s buffet royalty?

Sometimes, a Pinoy’s great appetite can only be satiated by buffet restaurants. Give your viewers a glimpse of golden liempo in its glistening glory. Include some thick kare-kareng gulay on the side and the a grilled pusit dripping with the juice of its stuffing, too. Drooling now? These are just words. Imagine what videos can do.

Sweet tooth temptations

A little sugar can improve your mood. Add some sweetness in your life and snap some clips of your favorite pastries.

Coffee craving

Show off great coffee art on your TikTok! Or better yet, create your own latte masterpiece for all to see.

But before you get too excited about all these eats, remember to avoid wasting food in the process of  creating your video. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations calls for action to make healthy and sustainable diets affordable and accessible to everyone.
