Honda Click 125i review: Reliable, stylish ride

Honda Click 125i

One of the best ways to beat the heavy traffic and hellish commuting in Metro Manila right now is to get yourself a motorcycle. Budget-wise, it’s more practical than cars. Plus, it allows you to easily wade through the congested roads and highways thanks to its compact frame.

The Honda Click 125i is a reliable choice of ride, with its improved performance and safety features. It also attracts young riders with its refreshed style and modern design.

The new Click 125i sports modern body lines. It’s got that futuristic appeal, especially when you look at it from the front. The full LED headlights, daytime running lights, and tail lamps give the bike an aggressive and up-to-date look. The review unit came in red, which adds further to the premium, dynamic look. Other available colors are black, orange, and blue.

You can enjoy ultramodern vibes thanks to the Click 125’s digital meter panel. It gives you a quick look on essential riding information such as your speed and fuel consumption.

The four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine gives a powerful performance on the road. The ride is smooth all throughout and braking is also a cinch. My fuel consumption is pretty good, ranging from 45 to 50kpL of mixed use. This is thanks mainly to the Idling Stop System feature of the Click 125i.

The Click 125i has a secure key shutter mechanism, an additional anti-theft measure for your bike. It protects the ignition switch from being jammed by small objects and makes it extra hard for others to pick the lock.

The tires look a bit small for the overall profile of the bike. They seem to lose grip when I make a quick change in direction. The footboard is a little cramped for my taste, and might become a problem for taller riders in the long run.

The 18L under-seat compartment can fit one full face helmet and still have space for your other small stuff like phone, wallet, and other accessories. The seats are comfortable, which means long ride hours won’t be too taxing for your bums.
