Marvel and Disney have finally announced the release date of the Hawkeye series.
The show will premiere on November 24, both studios announced on social media on July 29. It was revealed along with the first official image from the series, which gives a glimpse of Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton, aka archer Avenger Hawkeye, and Hailee Steinfeld as the newcomer Kate Bishop.
According to Variety, Bishop was a Marvel Comics character who took up the Hawkeye mantle after Barton and was also a member of the Young Avengers.
Florence Pugh—who played Natasha Romanoff’s sister, Yelona Belova, in Black Widow—is set to reprise her role in the upcoming series. Joining all three actors are Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Zahn McClarnon. Meanwhile, Jonathan Igla is writing and producing the series.
Marvel nor Disney hasn’t spilled details about the plot yet, but according to The Verge, the show will pick up on from Black Widow’s post-credit scene where (spoiler alert!) Yelena was recruited by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, aka Val, to avenge Natasha’s death.
Hawkeye is Marvel and Disney Plus’ fourth live-action series following WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and the recently concluded Loki.
