iOS users now have a new source for their ear biscuits. Google brings its Podcasts app to iPhones and iPads for the first time. The app also gets a revamp for Android users.
The updated app features three tabs. The first is a home tab where all you’ll find all your subscribed podcasts. This tab also lists all the episodes from your subscriptions.
Secondly, there’s a tab for discovering other categories. There you can search through different podcasts and get recommendations based on your listening habits.
Finally, the app has an activity tab, where you can find your queued pods, downloads, and history. You can also manage your subscriptions on this tab.
Once you’re done listening to a downloaded podcast, you can tweak your settings so the app auto-download the next episode, and auto-delete the one you’re done with.
The Now Playing screen offers new features like controls to change playback speeds, trim silences, and sleep timers.
The new Google Podcasts is now available for download from the App Store.
