Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis is taking brand launches to a different dimension with a record-setting drone show to celebrate its official entry into the Chinese market.
On March 29, 2021, the Korea-based premium automaker lit up the Shanghai skyline with 3,281 drones that set a new Guinness Record for “The Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously,” according to the brand’s press release.
Titled “Genesis of Genesis,” the drone show featured the brand’s signature design elements, such as the Genesis silhouette and Crest grille, as well as the Genesis G80 sedan and GV80 SUV. The breathtaking production, as Genesis said, represents their brand’s “audacious spirit to challenge conventions, break through the boundaries and inspire new possibilities.”
Markus Henne, Chief Executive Officer of Genesis Motor China, added, “At the heart of the Genesis promise is the daring spirit to do things differently. Our first-ever moment in China was a special opportunity to engage with our audience and show what Genesis is about. With this record-breaking drone performance, we brought our brand story and philosophy to life for many Chinese consumers. Soon, we will bring even more inspiring Genesis experiences and products to the consumers in China.”
