Geeks On A Beach surfs it way back to Boracay

  Geeks, leave those coats and ties behind and ready those sunnies and sunblocks! You are in once again for the geekiest conference of the year. Geeks On A Beach (GOAB), a gathering of tech start-ups, investors, tech-driven enterprises, innovators, businessmen, and designers from all over the world, returns to the famous Boracay Island for its third year. Running from August 20 to 21, this two-day business conference at the Crown Regency Resort and Convention Center in Boracay will be filled with training and workshop sessions, talks and panel discussions, and opportunities for partnerships, financial backing, and networking. Of course, there will be lots of fun, too, that could inspire game-changing solutions for the world biggest and smallest problems. Geeks On A Beach is organized by the Department of Science and Technology–Information Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICTO) and, a non-profit, independent community of business, technology, and startup enthusiasts who organize tech startup events. Other organizing partners include,, and First held in 2013 in Boracay island, Geeks On A Beach started with 330 participants coming from 27 different countries around the world. In 2014, over 440 attendees were present at the Moevenpick Resort Hotel in Mactan Island, Cebu to listen to local and global leaders such as Dave McClure of 500 startups, CEO Maria Ressa, and top executives from Smart Communications, Globe,, and others. A lot of prominent investors and participants have joined this annual conference since it started and for the 3rd GOAB, there will be quite a number of new things to look forward to, including these:
