Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Ask any fan what their top 5 favorite Pokémon games are, and for sure, HeartGold and SoulSilver will make the list. First released in Japan on September 2009, this Nintendo DS game found its way in the hearts of fans due to its compelling storyline and fresh gameplay. Players got to form friendships with their Pokémon because the games allowed you to walk around with your Poképal.

Just Dance

Remember making space in your living room so you and your friends could play Just Dance on the Wii? Can you imagine that those days are almost a decade old? The first iteration of the rhythm-based game had 32 songs you could dance to including Katy Perry’s Hot N Cold, MC Hammer’s U Can’t Touch This, and Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (CoD)

First released in 2009, this FPS garnered players across its PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms. Gamers loved many things about this version of the CoD game – the challenging campaign, the new cooperative mode in Spec Ops, the musical scoring, and the visuals.

Plants vs. Zombies (PvZ)

In May 2009, PopCap Games introduced a tower defense game that got us all playing for hours on end. Since its gameplay is simple yet highly addictive, PvZ kept players eager to defend their lawns against brain-hungry zombies with their loyal plants.
