Samsung is looking to get a big head start over its competition this 2018 with the announcement of its latest and first-for-the-year smartphone series: the Galaxy A8 and A8+.
The new additions to the company’s Galaxy A Series are also the first Samsung phones to sport the Ultimate Dual Selfie Camera. It lets you take bright and clear selfies with its dual 16MP + 8MP front snapper. Plus, the Live Focus and Adjustable Blur features allow you to improve your self-portraits further.
The Galaxy A8 Series also boasts a large Infinity Display with 18.2:9 display ratio for an immersive viewing experience. To complement the screen, Samsung gave the new series a seamless and full-round body—a design similar to that of Samsung’s flagship phones.
More than the design, the Galaxy A8 and A8+ boast to be a reliable driver that can withstand the elements as these phones offer an IP68 water- and dust-resistance. You can even do more with the A8+’s 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, which is still expandable up to 256GB.
Other top-of-the-line features that the Galaxy A8 series carry include Samsung’s enhanced personal assistant BIXBY and face recognition.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 retails for P26,990 while the Samsung Galaxy A8+ has price tag of P32,990. Both devices will be available at the end of January and will came with a free 5000mAh Capdase battery pack worth P1,199 if you buy it during the launch period (January 27 to 28, 2018).
