Samsung Galaxy A9 main quad camera

First look: Samsung Galaxy A9 with specs, photos, and price

Before 2018 ended, Samsung made sure to leave it with a bang with the launch of their latest A series device and the world’s first quad camera smartphone: the Samsung Galaxy A9.

The four rear camera system features a 10MP 2x Optical Zoom camera to let you go up close with your subject and capture more detail, a 120° Ultra Wide Angle to take bigger pictures, a Depth lens with Live Focus feature to get photos with varied depth of field or bokeh effect, and a 24MP main camera to shoot photos in any light conditions without any problem.

The 24-megapixel front shooter takes care of your selfies without any hitch.

But this device is not all about camera, the Galaxy A9 also offers a sleek and distinctive design that makes it the perfect fashion accessory to have. The premium 3D rear glass back looks really high-end, and surprisingly comfortable to grip.

In front is a brilliant, vibrant 6.3-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, a near bezel-less, full glass, and edge-to-edge screen. Just like other top-of-the-line Galaxy phones, the Galaxy A9 comes with the Always On feature, which lets you easily view information such as notifications, time, and more even when your phone is asleep.

Powering this feature-packed device is an octa-core processor with a massive 6GB RAM. Plus, it already comes with an  equally huge 128GB internal storage. But just in case you want to expand it, the microSD card slot on top of the device can support up to 512GB additional space.

Inside, it houses a built-in 3,800mAh battery with fast-charging functionalities. It is fitted with a USB Type-C port for all your charging and cabled data transfer needs.

Samsung also levels up the security on the Galaxy A9. Aside from the typical PIN and pattern security lock options, the Galaxy A9 supports face recognition and fingerprint scanning to unlock the phone.
