5 things you need to know about the new Lenovo Smart Tab
Las Vegas, Nevada–Aside from the Smart Clock, Lenovo also announced a new category of 2-in-1 tablets with smart dock as part of their growing smart home device portfolio.
The Lenovo Smart Tab powered by Amazon Alexa is an Android tablet on its own. Place it inside the bundled smart dock, however, and it transforms into an Alexa smart display-slash-home hub.
Here are 5 things you need to know about the Lenovo Smart Tab:
It comes with a beautiful screen and powerful audio
The Smart Tab comes with a big, brilliant 10-inch Full HD screen that’s great for streaming movies and shows from Prime Video or your favorite media apps. It’s also equipped with either two (M10) or four (P10) front-facing Dolby Atmos speakers (P10).
The large screen and powerful audio allows you to see and hear, from nearly anywhere in the room, the information you ask Alexa for. Both the P10 and M10 Smart Tabs feature three far-field microphones each that can pick up your voice from across the room.
It offers a solid experience
Both models are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. The P10 has 4GB RAM, up to 64GB of storage, and 7,000mAh, while the M10 has up to 3GB RAM with 32GB of space. Its battery is also smaller at 4,850mAh.
It offers a seamless, continuous media experience between modes
Binge-watch on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel while prepping your lunch. Dock the Lenovo Smart Tab to enhance the audio. When you’re done, you can simply pick the tablet and continue watching Midge and Susie on your couch without missing a beat.
The P10 is the more premium model
The Smart Tab P10 comes with a glass back and a bigger memory, storage, and battery. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner, a 5MP front camera, and an 8MP rear shooter.
The Smart Tab M10, on the other hand, uses a soft-touch matte back. Memory, storage, and battery are smaller than the P10. There’s also no fingerprint sensor, and the front and rear shooters are 2Mp and 5MP.
Price and availability
The M10 will retail for $199 while the P10 is $299. Pre-orders start this month on www.amazon.com and www.lenovo.com.
