Facebook is release a new tool, which allows users to transfer their photos and videos directly to Google Photos.
The feature falls under the Data Transfer Project, a collaboration between tech giants Apple, Google, Microsoft, Twitter, and Facebook. Its goal is to make file transfer between the ecosystems easier. Currently, the tool only works between Facebook and the Google service. However, the social giant said there are plans to include other services.
With this tool, it will be easier to backup photos uploaded from social media accounts to Google accounts.
Facebook has made the tool available for users in Ireland for testing and is reported to become available worldwide in the first half of 2020.
