The second generation of the Mercedes-Benz GLA has arrived in the Philippines. The new GLA 200 combines the best from the two high-volume segments: compact cars and SUV.
To reinforce its SUV stature, Mercedes increased the GLA’s overall height by 100 mm to 1,611 (1,616 with roof rails) while maintaining its compact size.
The GLA 200 AMG boasts an attractive sporty appearance both inside and out. The AMG Body Styling features a diamond radiator grille with pins in chrome, 19-inch 5-twin-spoke light alloy wheels, black roof liner, and polished aluminum roof rails.
Fit more in
The new GLA gives you more space to ride and more room to shop and stow. The rear backrest is 40:20:40 split, with each section folding down individually. This allows for better space management for cargo loading and gives passengers configurable and comfortable seating positions. Its luggage compartment can also be adjusted in two stages, thanks to a continuous floor console.
Locally, the GLA is available as the GLA 200 AMG Line, which comes with a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 163hp and 250Nm of torque. This is paired with a 7G dual-clutch automatic transmission with cruise control and driver selectable modes (ECO, Comfort, Sport, and Individual).
For entertainment, the GLA 200 AMG is equipped with the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) multimedia system with a 7-inch instrument and media display and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Safety-wise, the GLA 200 AMG features Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive, active brake assist, attention assist, Light and Sight Package, active parking assist, and tire pressure loss warning system.
The new GLA is available at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships with an introductory price of P3,290,000. Visit www.mercedes-benz.ph/GLA to learn more.
