A digital platform made by Filipinos for Filipinos is set to launch this year. Kalaro is a fully integrated and end-to-end social networking app, which will cater to Pinoy gamers’ needs.
In the app, there will be tournament management and corporate brand sponsorship features to help Filipinos in the burgeoning esports industry. Aiming to serve over 27 million gamers in the Philippines, the platform will serve as a virtual space to hone one’s esports competitive skills for both local and international events.
With Kalaro, members will be able to meet other gamers, discuss the latest trends, get updates about upcoming events or tournaments, and watch their favorite streamers together.
Interested gamers can sign up for an account using their Facebook, Twitch, Google, mobile number, or email address. There’s also an option to be a premium member for a small annual fee, which grants users exclusive access to some of the platform’s unique features. Members will receive a free Kalaro e-wallet, which they can use to buy Kalaro Gems.
There will also be Kalaro Points for loyal and highly active members. They’ll be able to convert these points for esports merch.
Kalaro also created a facility for corporate brands to set up online storefronts. The platform will have dedicated panels for companies to advertise, sponsor, and sell gaming rigs.
The e-commerce model will feature branded gadgets at maximum discounts. Additionally, only limited esports items can be sold in the marketplace.
Lastly, the app guarantees privacy of information of its users and their activities.
