Italian watch brand D1 Milano is now in the Philippines. Known for the luxury and sophistication, the watch manufacturer aims to elevate Filipino style through its handsomely distinct timepieces.
D1 Milano was officially made available to Pinoy buyers last January 30 during a launch held in Bonifacio Global City. The brand is headed by Dario Spallone, a 26-year-old entrepreneur, who started the business in 2013 as a college student in Bocconi University in Milan.
Since then, D1 Milano has seen distribution in 29 countries worldwide. Furthermore, the brand has set up offices in Milan, Dubai, and Hong Kong. Given that it has succeeded in Europe and the Middle East, D1 Milano saw the Philippines as its next target market.
“We decided that the Asia-Pacific as a region would be a nice spot in which to work after we picked up a lot in Europe and in the Middle East. In the Philippines, it’s a growing market,” Regional Director for the Asia Pacific Martina Zonta told Speed.
“People are more and more keen to buy accessories. In terms of style, the Filipino market is less Asian than others. People are impressed by products that bring quality and design and value for money. Our brand is a good fit here,“ Zonta added.
As of writing, there are four collections from D1 Milano that cater to a variety of buyers. There’s Polycarbon, which will retail from P8,000 to P11,700; that Ultra Thin at P18,200 to P23,800; the P701 at P34,200 to P43,800; and the Super Slim at P11,500 to P13,800.
D1 Milano has collections available in Swissgear Greenbelt 1, Wristpod Uptown Mall, Robinsons Ermita, SM Megamall, Swissgear SM North, Shangri-La Mall, and SM North EDSA.
