There’s a new subcompact crossover in town—and it’s wearing a bowtie.
Chevrolet Philippines has officially unveiled the all-new Tracker, a crossover SUV that combines practical functionality, modern athletic design, intelligent connectivity features, refined engine technology, advanced safety features, and smart cargo space.
The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), the exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet automobiles and parts in the country, is introducing two Tracker model variants: the Tracker LS priced at P1,142,888 and the Tracker LT Redline Edition with an SRP of P1,242,888.
The all-new Tracker is available in five colors: Agate Red Metallic, Satin Steel Gray Metallic, Black Meet Kettle Metallic, Summit White, and Pow Zinga Metallic. The last one is a color exclusive to the LS variant.
As an introductory offer, TCCCI is slashing P30,000 off the SRP of both variants—regardless of mode of purchase—until September 30, 2021.
The Tracker has a very youthful styling with many sharp, angular lines, a hexagonal front radiator grille, squared-off LED daytime running lights, which double as turn signals.
The aptly named Tracker Redline Edition features strong black and red accents on the front grille, which is enhanced by a distinct horizontal red trim and a black Chevy bowtie emblem. This design element continues on the car’s black heated side mirrors with a bright L-shaped red trim, as well as its 17-inch black alloy rims with eye-catching red accents.
Similar design elements are carried throughout the interior of the Redline Edition with an all-black dual cockpit and jet-black seats adorned with red double stitching. The Tracker LS, on the other hand, features a two-toned jet black and captain blue interior.
Exclusive to the Tracker Redline Edition is a large, sliding panoramic sunroof that allows drivers and passengers to enjoy natural light and/or fresh air with the flick of a switch.
Standard across the range is the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system with an 8-inch screen, integrated Apple CarPlay, and four speakers. It also offers Bluetooth connectivity, four USB ports, and one SD card reader slot.
The LT Redline adds a push-button start/stop and automatic climate control.
The all-new Chevrolet Tracker is powered by a new generation 1.0-liter 3-cylinder DOHC Ecotec Turbo mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The engine delivers 116hp at 5,800rpm and a maximum 175Nm of torque at 1,500-4,200rpm.
The new engine is packed with a host of active thermal management systems so that it can be more efficient and less harmful to the environment.
For safety and convenience, Chevrolet equipped the Tracker with a range of active and passive safety technologies including emergency brake warning, rollover mitigation, cornering brake control, traction control system, panic brake assist, tire pressure monitoring system, electric heated side mirrors, and reverse camera with a wide 130-degree viewing angle.
The Chevrolet Tracker comes with a 5-year / 100,000-kilometer warranty on top of the 24/7 emergency roadside assistance for three years.
