Check out these 6 new products made by Google


Google is not just a software provider anymore. The tech company debuted today its new suite of products during the Made by Google event in San Francisco, which includes two smartphones, a VR headset, an updated plug-and-play streaming device, a home assistant, and a router. Here are the cool things Google announced during its keynote event:

1 Pixel

The Pixel prides itself as the first-ever phone that is made by Google inside and out. Prior to Pixel, Google has dabbled on producing mobile devices through its Nexus devices. But these Nexus phones were made in partnership with a revolving set of hardware manufacturers, and has been more of a sideshow for Google than anything. google-pixel The first phone to carry the Google Assistant, the new Pixel smartphone comes with a 5-inch 441ppi FHD AMOLED display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It has a metal unibody design and ships in three colors: Quite Black, Very Silver, and Really Blue. The Pixel is powered by a 2770mAh battery, a 4GB RAM, a 32 or 128GB of storage, and a Snapdragon 821 processor. Plus, it boasts of 12.3MP main and 8MP front cameras, 4K video recording, Pixel Imprint fingerprint reader, and fast charging via USB-C. The price for Pixel starts at $649.

2 Pixel XL

We did say earlier that Google launched two smartphones. The Pixel’s larger brother, aptly named Pixel XL, was also announced during Google’s keynote. Like the smaller Pixel, the Pixel XL gets the same 4GB RAM, 32 or 128GB built-in storage, and Snapdragon 821 processor. The larger Pixel, however, carries a bigger 3450mAh battery, a larger 5.5-inch 534ppi QHD AMOLED display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4, and a bit higher starting retail price of $769.

3 Google Daydream View

Google’s Pixel comes with a lot of first and exclusive features, including its compatibility with Google’s latest VR platform: the Google Daydream. The Pixel phones are ready to work with new platform via the Google Daydream View VR headset. It comes with a controller and a selection of colored fabrics (red, gray, and white) for the headset skin. It will go on sale on November for $79. google-daydream-view-vr

4 Google Home

This is Google’s answer to Amazon’s Echo: the Google Home. First announced during at Google I/O earlier this year, the Google Home puts the Google Assistant in your home. It can provide information on the day’s weather and traffic conditions, answer your questions, and control your smart home devices, among other things. In addition to that, the Google Home features a speaker so you can play your favorite tunes on it from any major streaming service and multiple devices. 5 Google Wifi

Another home offering from Google is the Google Wifi. This Wi-Fi ecosystem aims to provide better coverage throughout your home. It has a feature called Network Assist, which optimizes the router to give you the bets possible conenction wherever you are in your house. The Google Wifi has a companion app that allows you to manage your connections remotely on your phone. Available for pre-orders on November and will start to ship on December, the Google Wifi costs $129 for a single pack or $299 for three packs. google-wifi

6 Chromecast Ultra

The Chromecast might be one of Google’s clever ideas to date, and the company made it a better product by adding 4K compatibility to the new Chromecast Ultra. This streaming device lets you cast 4K, Ultra HD content and even optimizes the picture quality automatically. You can get the Chromecast Ultra for $69 starting November. chromecast-ultra
