Casio, Bandai Namco team up for retro-looking Pac-Man digital watch

Casio has joined forces with video game publisher Bandai Namco in creating a quirky new digital watch inspired by the iconic ’80s arcade game Pac-Man.

The Casio x Pac-Man Collaboration Model, also called A100WEPC, features all the elements of the game—from everyone’s favorite chomp monster, the four neon ghosts to the game’s quintessential dot maze layout. Completing the whole classic arcade vibe are the watch’s gold case and black face that make the sparky images pop out.

The straps add an additional nod to the game, with the upper band showing the ghosts chasing Pac-Man, and the lower band showing the other way around.

According to Hypebeast, this vintage-looking watch is inspired by Casio’s classic F-10 digital watch, which was first released back in 1978. At the time, it was the first quartz model that featured calendar capabilities and a resin case. The upcoming model features the classic F-100 four front buttons as well as the “illuminator” logo seen on the front.

Pac-Man fans who are based in the US can get their hands on this collector’s item for approximately $110 USD (P5,500) starting August 21 on Casio’s website. No word yet on its availability in other regions.
