Carbon Mobile introduces world’s first carbon fiber phone

Most smartphones are typically made of polycarbonate, glass, or metal. German phone company Carbon Mobile challenges this. Rather than making a phone with a metal frame and a glass rear, the company crafted a phone made of carbon fiber: the Carbon 1 Mark II.

Thanks to the material of choice, the phone is thin and light at just at 6.3mm and 125g.

It sports a 6.01-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Powering the phone is a MediaTek P90 chipset and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. Other specs include a 3,050mAh battery, dual rear cameras, Android 10, and USB-C charging.

The Carbon 1 Mark II also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner above its textured power button.

This carbon fiber phone is available for pre-order for EUR 800 (around P45,000).
