The much-awaited Canon EOS R full-frame mirrorless camera is here!
Aiming to revolutionize photography and videography, the all-new Canon EOS R is the brand’s first 35mm full-frame mirrorless digital camera with Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) and interchangeable lens format.
The EOS R boasts a near-instantaneous focusing speed of 0.05 seconds. It has a 30.3-megapixel full-frame Dual Pixel CMOS AF sensor that detects 5,655 manually selectable auto-focus points. In addition, this camera features an ISO sensitivity range of 100 to 40,000 for photos and 100 to 25,000 for videos.
Powered by the latest DIGIC 8 imaging processor, the EOS R’s Auto Lighting Optimizer applies gradient to delvier intricate details in highlight and shadows of your images.
At the heart of the EOS R System is the ground-breaking RF mount, which has a large 54mm diameter, short flange focal distance of 20mm, and a robust 12-pin connection.
Along with the EOS R, Canon also launched the first four RF lenses designed for mirrorless cameras.
The RF-24-105mm f/4L IS USM (P68,998), RF50mm f/1.2L USM (P144,998), RF28-70mm f/2L USM (price to be announced), and RF35mm f/1.8 MACRO IS STM (price to be announced) all incorporate a control ring to which you can directly adjust numerous settings such as shutter speed, aperture, exposure, compensation, and more.
Canon’s EF and EF-S lenses can still be used with the new EOS R. You just need to use one of three optional Mount Adapaters–Mount Adapter EF-EOS R (P6,998), Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R (P13,498), and Drop-in Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R (price to be announced).
The Canon EOS R retails for P147,998 body only and P214,998 with the RF24-105mm USM Kit at Canon dealers nationwide.
