ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is a tablet made for gaming

There aren’t a lot of gaming tablets in the market, and ASUS is looking to fill the void with the launch of the ROG Flow Z13.

Unveiled at the CES 2022 ROG: The Rise of Gamers event, ROG Flow Z13 is a gaming tablet that brings a new level of portability and versatility to PC gaming.

This tablet is quite a a mighty kicker. It’s equipped with up to a 14-core Intel Core i9-12900H CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU, a MUX Switch, and up to 32GB of DDR5-5200 memory. It’s also compatible with the ASUS ROG XG Mobile external graphics dock with high-level mobile graphics performance,

All this power is housed in a retro-futurist design, a complete CNC aluminum chassis that’s only 12mm thick and weighs just 1.1kg.

The Flow Z13 is available with two display options: a 4K 60Hz display with 85% DCI-P3 coverage and a Full HD 120Hz screen with 100% sRGB coverage. Both are 16:10 and offer Dolby Vision, Corning Gorilla glass protection, Adaptive Sync, 500 nits of peak brightness, and Pantone validation.

Flow Z13 can be played multiple ways, from traditional mouse (using the included screen cover keyboard) to touch input or gamepads. A built-in kickstand can be opened up to 170° for optimal usage in nearly any scenario.

For extra gaming horsepower and I/O expansion, Flow Z13 is compatible with the XG Mobile family of external GPUs. This means you can connect it to the 2021 XG Mobile with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, or this year’s new addition to the XG Mobile family, which includes an AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT GPU.
