Apple, LG reportedly working on a display for foldable iPhone

The future of LG smartphones might be up in the air but its other divisions are still going strong. According to a recent report from DigiTimes, Apple has tapped LG Display to work on a foldable panel for a future iPhone.

This isn’t the first time Apple and LG have been reportedly working together on a foldable display. In 2017, LG was said to be working on a flexible OLED display for an iPhone.

According to a previous leak, a foldable iPhone with Apple Pencil support is in the works with plans for a 2023 release. The tech giant will be late to the foldable party, with companies like Huawei, Samsung, and Motorola outing foldable devices since 2019.

All of this is still in development and based on industry rumors so take it with a grain of salt. Still, a foldable iPhone will be something to watch for.
