Angkas offers free rides from Santolan to Recto
Angkas has announced that it will start offering free rides to commuters from LRT-2 Santolan station to Recto station during rush hour. This announcement comes after the LRT-2 suspended operations, following a fire incident in one of sections of the train system last Friday.

The rides will be available from Tuesday to Thursday from 8AM to 10AM and 5PM0 to 7PM. The service will take commuters from Santolan to Recto station and vice versa.
Aside from Angkas, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is also providing free bus rides to commuters. The free bus rides from MMDA is coming from Santolan going to Cubao station.
Earlier this week, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said that operations for three stations–Santolan, Katipunan, and Anonas–will be suspended for nine months. However, the train will begin partial operations from Cubao to Recto stations starting October 8.
