All-new Ford Explorer is loaded with tech and safety features


Ford Philippines has unveiled the all-new Ford Explorer, which boasts of a bolder design and more premium driving features.

The Explorer Limited 4WD is the sole variant being offered locally. It’s powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that generates 300hp and 420Nm of torque. This is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.

Its Intelligent 4WD with Terrain Management System has seven selectable drive modes so you can optimize performance and handling across different environments and uses. 

The all-new Explorer comes with Ford Co-Pilot360 tech, which includes safety features such as pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and lane-departure warning.

The all-new Explorer’s exterior design has been updated to offer a more dominant yet elegant appearance on the road. It comes with bright silver-painted mesh grille with chrome bars, silver-painted front and rear skid plate elements, body-color door handles with chrome inserts, satin roof-rack side rails, chromed dual-exhaust tips, and huge 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with self-sealing tires. Headlamps, front fog lamps, and taillamps are all LED.

The mid-size SUV is also equipped with a Ford SYNC 3 eight-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay-/Android Auto-connectivity, a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen setup, twin panel moonroof, and a power liftgate, among many others.

The all-new Explorer Limited variant will be available in Ford dealerships starting December 21 at a starting retail price of P2,998,000
