Acer unveils two new monitors that take work and play to the next level

Acer has unveiled two new monitors—the Nitro XV272U KF and CB273U—that both offer a next-level experience in gaming and content creation.

The Nitro XV272U KF is boosted with a slew of features that would help gamers keep their winning edge. Its 27” WQHD display features a 300 Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals, while its AMD FreeSync technology eliminates choppy gameplay by adjusting the display’s refresh rate to match that of the GPU.

A low 0.5 ms (G-to-G) response time further improves image quality by virtually eliminating the blur of fast-moving objects on the screen, while Acer Black Boost technology makes it easier to pick out details such as hidden enemies when in darker environments.

VESA DisplayHDR 600-Certified, the Nitro XV272U KF takes advantage of 90% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and Delta E<1 color accuracy rating to make games look more lifelike.

The Nitro XV272U KF is also TÜV/Eyesafe certified, with its features that reduce eye strain, such as Acer Care 3.0 technology, Acer LightSense that detects the amount of ambient light in an environment and adjusts the display’s brightness accordingly, and Acer ColorSense, which matches the display’s color temperature to that of the surrounding environment.

Meanwhile, the Acer CB273U is a 27” WQHD (2560×1440) IPS monitor that displays vivid 8-bit colors, making it great for photo editing and design. HDR10 support allows for deeper blacks and more brilliant whites, presenting colors in Delta E<1 color accuracy.

For creators who enjoy playing games on the side, AMD FreeSync enhanced by a 1 ms Visual Respone Boost (VRB) makes gameplay smoother and decreases lag for virtually blur-free images.

Acer’s CB3 Series monitors support 178-degree wide viewing angles and feature a docking station so you can create a clutter-free and convenient workspace. The dock includes a 90W USB Type-C port, an RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, and a built-in KVM switch, which makes it possible to switch between desktops and laptops without having to change monitors, keyboards or mice.

The monitor is TÜV/Eyesafe certified and includes a variety of technology that provide a comfortable viewing experience. These include BlueLightShield Pro technology, Acer Flickerless technology to eliminate screen flickering, and Acer’s low-dimming technology.

While Acer has not yet confirmed the release date and prices of these monitors, they are both scheduled for launch in the US in November with prices of $1,099.99 (~P56,000) for the Nitro XV272U KF and $439.99 (~P22,400) for the CB273U.
