5 reasons why now is the best time to get a Ford Ranger Raptor

You’ve always dreamt of owning a Ford Ranger Raptor—and we can’t blame you, really. What’s there to not be excited about? It’s one tough-looking truck with a macho stance made more pronounced by those massive fenders. It’s got rough road-ready features and a powerful engine. Just imagine all the kinds of adventure you can do with it!

And its P1,998,000 sticker price? That’s quite a steal when you consider that the only vehicles available to buyers for the same amount are 4×2 midsize SUVs.

Well, how about you turn that dream into a reality? Ready your checkbook because when you buy a Ranger Raptor now until October 31, 2020, Ford is throwing in a worry-free ownership package. Called the Ranger Raptor Premium Care program, this first-of-its-kind program is valued at P100,000 and gives Ranger Raptor owners peace of mind for longer.

Here are five reasons why now is the best time to buy your dream truck:

1. 5-year scheduled service maintenance package (SSP)

Just because it’s tough and born ready doesn’t mean the Raptor won’t benefit from some tender loving care. This is why you should make sure that you bring it to your dealership for its scheduled maintenance.

Under the free 5-year scheduled service maintenance package, the maintenance service for the Ranger Raptor is free for up to five years or 50,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. Customers need not pay for parts and labor when they bring their pickup truck to a Ford dealership for its periodic maintenance service (PMS).

2. 5-year vehicle warranty

A car warranty is an assurance provided by the car manufacturer that in case your vehicle encounters any unwanted problems, you will not be liable to pay up for any such issues.

Ford offers a standard 3-year manufacturer’s warranty for its vehicles, but with the Premium Care program there’s a free 2-year extended warranty (EW) applied after the standard warranty expires. This means the vehicle’s total warranty is extended to 5 years or 150,000 kilometers. Extended warranty covers the parts and labor for the repair of various vehicle components such as engine, transmission, steering, brakes, suspension, and more.

3. 5-year emergency roadside assistance (ERA)

The standard 3-year emergency roadside assistance (ERA) is also extended for customers buying a Ranger Raptor during the promo period. ERA is a 24/7 roadside assistance program that provides quick and reliable help on the road for Ford vehicle owners.

The program covers four types of basic services: towing of a stranded Ford vehicle, removal of the vehicle using a crane if the vehicle happens to get stuck, minor on-site repairs, and arrangement or payment for a car or taxi service to bring the customer to their intended destination or home.

The 5-year ERA coverage also includes additional privileges such as unlimited mileage for towing service (up to the nearest dealership); up to P5,000 worth of coverage for misfueling; additional free 5 liters of fuel in the event of emergency fuel delivery; up to P10,000 coverage for continuation of journey (transportation to home or any destination, or accommodation); and up to P20,000 medical coverage.

4. Newly added safety features at no additional cost

Ford also gives you more value for your money by equipping the Raptor with additional safety features at no additional cost. This truck now gets a camera-based autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system with pedestrian detection, lane keeping system, and LED headlamps. There’s now also a high-mount USB port so that you can install a dashcam without worrying about tangled cables.

5. It lives up to the Blue Oval brand’s ‘Built Ford Tough’ slogan

The Ranger Raptor, designed by the Ford Performance team for the true enthusiast off-roader, is powered by a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine that delivers 210hp and 500Nm of torque. This is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

This true-blue super truck is equipped with off-road-ready Fox Position Sensitive Damping shock absorbers. To withstand high-impact off-road events, the Raptor’s frame consists of various grades of high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel. All-terrain tires have been specially developed for this truck.

This 4×4 pickup truck features a Terrain Management System with different modes, including Baja Mode, which is inspired by Mexico’s famous Baja Desert Rally. The truck also features hill start assist, hill descent control, and electronic stability control system.

The well-equipped cabin features Ford’s SYNC 3 and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, body-contoured front sport seats, and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter.
