Learn more below about these updates and how to control the ads you see." If not, brace yourself. So, what's this all about? Facebook is once again rewriting its Terms and Policies effective January 1, 2015, this time making it clearer but no less complicated. Privacy Basics is Facebook’s latest attempt to simplify and clarify its Terms of Service to get more people to read and understand them. playbulb candle-8MIPOW, known in the Philippines for their power banks, unveiled yesterday their PlayBulb series of Bluetooth-enabled color-changing smart LED lights. At the launch in EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, MIPOW's vice president and head of global sales and marketing, Bon Lam, gave a demonstration of light manipulation in the techiest and most colorful way, eliciting oohs and aahs from the press in attendance. The PlayBulb lights aren't your regular LED lights. They can display up to 256 colors, and are Bluetooth-enabled to allow your iOS or Android device to control light color, brightness, and effects through the PlayBulb X app, which can be downloaded for free. Via the app, you can group together up to five PlayBulb products and control them as one, and have multiple groups as well.

To highlight Volkswagen’s highly efficient, eco-friendly turbocharged diesel (TDI) engine variants and its equally powerful and economical TSI engines, Volkswagen Philippines held the second leg of the Fuel Eco Fun Run last November 20 with its partner, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum. The second leg was participated in by a mix of media and existing Volkswagen owners of the Polo, Touran, and Beetle, and each competed to set the record for the most economical fuel mileage achieved. The results were verified by Antonio Basco and Alexis Matel Carlos, representatives from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Division of the Department of Energy.

As part of its Road Safety advocacy, Michelin launched its Fill Up with Air (FUWA) Safety Campaign last November 21 at S&R Alabang Open Parking Lot in Muntinlupa. An inspection tent setup onsite invited all S&R members to have their vehicles’ tire pressure checked and adjusted for free. The Michelin tire experts also checked for the tires’ tread wear and other conditions and gave tire safety advice.

Starting today, November 24, SM North Edsa will be powered by a 1.5-megawatt solar facility, making it the world’s biggest solar-powered mall. Solar Philippines Commercial Rooftop Projects Inc., in partnership with SM Malls, outfitted the North Edsa parking building with 5,760 solar panels and 60 inverters covering more than 12,000 square meters.

WD has launched the new My Passport Wireless External Hard Drive—a Wi-Fi enabled storage drive that lets you save, access, and share stored content with any smartphone, tablet, computer, or other devices. Simon Whitford, WD senior regional marketing manager APAC, led the launch and live demonstration of the portable hard drive in a media event last November 20 at the Marco Polo Hotel. The My Passport Wireless—much like a cable-free NAS—creates a network in which up to eight devices can jump on and access the content stored on the drive without any wires or Internet connection. This allows devices with minimal storage capacity such as smartphones and tablets to store and stream wirelessly up to hundreds of movies, music, photos, and other digital files.
