The Civic nameplate has been an important part of Honda’s lineup for almost 50 years now. Locally, it was the first Honda vehicle offered in the country and has garnered much love from many loyalists and enthusiasts.

And now, the 11th-generation has arrived in the Philippines.

Honda’s newest turbocharged sedan is offered in three variants—all with turbo power:

  • RS Turbo CVT – P1,690,000
  • V Turbo CVT – P1,498,000
  • S Turbo CVT – P1,290,000

The 1.5-liter turbocharged DOHC engine (176hp and 240Nm) is mated to a continuously variable transmission. Keeping the car stable is a MacPherson strut/multi-link suspension combo, while stopping duties are handled by discs in the front and rear.

What’s more, Honda Sensing—the brand’s suite of driver assistance and collision avoidance technologies—is available across the range. These driver aids include:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Low Speed Follow
  • Collision Mitigation Braking System
  • Lane Keep Assist System
  • Road Departure Mitigation
  • Lane Departure Warning
  • Auto High Beam
  • Lead Car Departure Notification

For its full-model change, the all-new Civic is a balance of elegance and sportiness with its long hood and sloping roofline.

There’s a new pair headlights that houses either full LEDs or projector halogens. Meanwhile, daytime running lights (DRLs) are standard across the range. LED fog lights are reserved for the V Turbo and RS Turbo variants.

The entire rear end has also been redone.

RS-exclusive details include black-painted side mirrors, door handles, sharkfin antenna and trunk spoiler, 18-inch matte black wheels, and chrome-finished dual-exhaust pipes.

The S variant gets a set of 16-inch rims, while the midrange V gets 17-inch alloys.

All variants receive new infotainment systems: 7-inches for the lower trims and 9-inches for the RS. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard for all variants, with the RS having Wireless Apple CarPlay. The audio system is connected to four speakers for the S, eight for the V, and to a Bose 12-speaker sound system for the RS.

One of the highlights of the new interior is the black honeycomb pattern on the dashboard that hides the air conditioning vents.

Both the S and V get fabric seats, while the RS has leather-and-suede seats.

Available colors for the all-new Honda Civic include Ignite Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Morning Mist Blue Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl.

Honda is currently offering customers the chance to purchase a Platinum White Pearl Civic (for all variants) at no extra cost until November 30. In addition, customers who will reserve the all-new Civic V variant until December 31 will get a free Modulo Trunk Tray and Modulo exhaust pipe finisher on top of all other promotions offered for the month of the vehicle release until January 31, 2022.
